Discover the magic of chanting through this three week series!
Ever been to a Kirtan and wondered what you were chanting? Do you want to feel more comfortable using your voice? Are you looking for a way to deepen your own spiritual practice?
Come explore the ancient and powerful practice of Bhakti yoga. Through discussion, meditation and chanting we will use our minds, hearts and voices to explore the three main Divine pairings of the Hindu pantheon: Saraswati/Brahma, Lakshmi/Vishnu and Parvati (Kali/Durga)/Shiva. Come learn about the archetypal energies associated with each pairing in the creation cycle (creation, sustaining and transformation) and how tap into this energy with respect and reverence, honouring the Divine within.
In this series you will:
learn the benefits of chanting both from a research and experiential perspective
gain a deeper understanding of the meanings of the mantras we will be exploring
become more comfortable using your voice
learn how to incorporate mantra and chant in your own personal practice
Bhakti yoga is the yoga of devotion, a way to connect with the Divine within each of us. Chanting is available to everyone. When we chant, we are singing the many names of God/Goddess/Spirit/Source/Creator in the form of a music meditation.
